ABOUT US

UNION RAG was founded in 1987 by Kevin Morris. Being born last into a family of 11 siblings, Kevin learned to never waste anything – especially a great opportunity. This is what fed his desire to provide his community with a much needed method of creating an income, and eventually put that into motion.

UNION RAG has provided Wynberg (and the Western Cape) with beautiful garment fabrics for 30 years now, and is expanding every single day. From a simple business delivering rags to mechanics, to the bustling hub of activity it is today – it keeps evolving.

We sell fabric by both the kilo and the metre to ensure we satisfy everyone, and provide our community with awesome deals. We watch festivals and fashion trends so we always know exactly what to buy to satisfy our customers.

Our fabrics include bon-bon, swimwear lycra, birds eye, crepe, crimplene, chiffon, ponte, scuba, jersey knits, viscose, linens, and HUGE selection of laces.

We also sell buckles, elastic, numerals, thread, trims, hangers, and SO MUCH MORE.
